1.     (:30) Rights Management Overview (speaker: Michael Atalla)

Abstract:   The new Rights Management service: a high-level Architectural Overview including Office 2003 demo and Roadmap.  Discuss the fundamental shift from a focus on securing access to applications, to also include a focus on securing data within those applications.

 

2.      (:60) Rights Management Services Overview & Architecture (speaker: Marco DeMello)

Abstract:  Architecture of RM as a Web Service, protocols spoken, Active Directory integration, core feature set (templates, revocation/exclusion, etc.).  Also discusses concepts of machine activation, user certificates, etc.  Concludes with brief discussion on key chain, trust model, publishing and consumption of info, and the lockbox

Abstract:  Office 2003 is the first application suite that is Rights-Management enabled.  This interactive session will provide a demo of “Information Rights Management” in Office 2003 and a discussion of Office’s process and experiences in bringing RM to the market.

Abstract: Introduce the SDKs for server and client.  Introduces concepts associated with writing a Rights Management-aware applications.  Preview of technical tools that attendees will receive at the close of the event.
