HOTEL INFORMATION

How do I reserve a hotel room?

MicrosoftEvents@dynamicevents.com will handle all hotel reservations and cancellations until Monday, February 17, 2003, 3:00PM PDT. You will make your hotel request on the registration form.  We cannot guarantee room availability after Monday, January 30, 2003, but will continue to book accommodations at the Grand Californian Hotel as long as we have rooms remaining in our room block. Based on availability, accommodations booked after January 30, 2003 may be subject to a higher room rate than the $169.00 per night (plus tax and resort fees) for the room block.  If you are canceling less than 72 hours before the event start, we suggest you contact the hotel directly to cancel, then notify us at MicrosoftEvents@dynamicevents.com

 

Please note that ALL guest rooms at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel® are non-smoking.  Designated smoking locations are available around the hotel grounds.  Should you require a smoking room, please note this at the time of registration under Personal Considerations on the registration form and Microsoft will attempt to assist you in booking one at another Anaheim Resort area hotel.

How much are the rooms?

Standard Single/Double: $169.00; Tax: 15%

 

The room rate is available for up to 3 days before or 3 days after the event – you may come early or stay late.

 

How much fun will my family have if they attend?

One of the reasons why we chose the Disneyland Resort during a potential vacation week was to make this event family friendly.  While you're working with the heavy hitters in architecture on Thursday and Friday, your family can enjoy Downtown Disney, Disney's California Adventure Theme Park and the Disneyland Theme Park all within 500 yards of the hotel.  Discounted theme park tickets are available for purchase (information can be found below and on the Registration page).

 

How can I bring my family and stay longer than the event is scheduled?

Simply book your hotel stay and enjoy the discounted price up to three days earlier or later than the event is scheduled.  Select the number and size of beds you'll require.  Up to 4 people can stay in the room.  If you require additional rooms, our registration staff can assist.  Make a note in the "Personal Considerations" box at the bottom of the Registration Page if you require additional sleeping rooms.  Please note that rates and availability cannot be guaranteed by Microsoft after January 30, 2003.  

 

How do I get to the hotel?

You are responsible for your transportation to/from the airport to the Disney Grand Californian Hotel. Please consult your confirmation letter for additional details. Driving directions from Los Angeles International Airport or Orange County Airport to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel, as well as guidelines for taxi rates are available on this site under Driving Directions.

 

What if I need to cancel my hotel reservation?  

Hotel cancellations must be made directly to Dynamic Events at 1.800.528.1668 (toll free) or direct at 425.895.1100 or via email to MicrosoftEvents@dynamicevents.com 72 hours in advance of anticipated arrival or your credit card will be charged. If less than 72 hours in advance please contact the Grand Californian Hotel directly at 714.635.2300.

 

Theme Park Information

Tickets are available via fax or mail order up to 14 days in advance of your arrival date.  You will need to print off the Ticket Order document and fax or mail it to request your tickets.  To assure that your order can be processed, and that you would receive your ticket shipment prior to your departure, your order must reach the Disney Parks order department 14 days prior to your arrival.  Please click here for the Ticket Order form.

Are Additional Guests for the welcome reception or evening dinner?

We are unable to accommodate additional guests at these events.

 

Who will pay for Air Travel?

You are responsible for your own flight arrangements to and from the event.

 

What is the Dress Code?

Business casual is suggested for all meeting sessions. We suggest you bring a light jacket with you.

What if I need to cancel my meeting attendance?

What is the cost of the Architect Council?

You will be Microsoft's guest for the Council, including all registration and conference fees. Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the two days at the Grand Californian Hotel (Feb. 20-21, 2003).  The Welcome Reception on February 19th will include appetizers and beverages.  A Group Dinner/Reception will be served the evening of February 20th at ESPN Zone (Downtown Disney). There are no group events planned for the evening of February 21st. Scheduled activity costs during the conference sessions and evening events will be provided.  You are responsible for your air travel, your transfer to the hotel, your hotel accommodations and incidental hotel expenses.
