Event Hot Spots: What to Eat, Sip, and See in 3 Cities We Love
When you’re traveling for work, especially in the world of events, it’s easy to fall into the pattern of “hotel to venue to airport.”
But at Dynamic Events, we believe that great experiences go beyond the event space, and that includes where we eat, sip, and explore during our time off the clock.
Let’s be honest: when you think of event destinations, cities like Las Vegas, Orlando, and New York City probably top the list. And for good reason; they’re staples in our industry: accessible, adaptable, and always buzzing with activity.
But over the past year, our team has been in and out of some of the world’s busiest event destinations, and we’ve gathered our favorite spots to drink, dine, and discover in three cities we’ve spent a lot of time in lately: San Francisco, Seattle, and London.
As we head into fall, we can’t wait to hit the road again and stop at some of our favorite spots- we hope to see you there!
Whether you're attending an event, planning one, or just tagging along, here’s the inside scoop from the DE team on where to make the most of your time.
San Francisco, California
San Francisco always delivers. Maybe it’s the fresh ocean air, the hills that double as cardio, or the way the city always seems to have a hidden gem waiting just around the corner.
Must Drink:
Sana’a Café – A Yemeni coffee house with the most delectable pastries. The MUST TRY: Adeni Chai. Warm, spiced, and comforting in the best way.
Blue Bottle Coffee – A quick stop that never disappoints. Grab a cup between rehearsals or toss a bag of beans in your suitcase to bring home a little taste of the Bay.
Must Eat:
Oren’s Hummus – Packed with flavor and inclusive for all kinds of dietary needs. Their gluten-free falafel is a team go-to.
The Stinking Rose – A San Francisco classic. Make sure to order the garlic butter spread and bread. (Trust us on this one! It’s the move.)
Must Visit:
Fisherman’s Wharf is iconic for a reason. Chowder in a sourdough bowl with the bay breeze: still unbeatable.
But for something a little quieter (and a lot more inspiring), head to City Lights Bookstore. A historic, independent gem and the first all-paperback bookstore in the U.S. It’s the kind of place you wander into for five minutes... and stay for forty-five.
Seattle, Washington
Rain or shine (but let’s be honest, usually rain), Seattle delivers every time. It’s one of those cities that gets better the more you visit, and we’ve been lucky to get to know it very well.
Must Eat:
Feeling a little fancy? Some of our team favorites include:
Din Tai Fung – The Chicken & Mushroom Buns are to die for. Soft, savory, and gone too fast.
Assaggio Ristorante – Cozy, classic Italian that always hits the spot. Perfect for a team dinner after a long day of load-in and prep.
Must Drink:
Coffeeholic – The best Vietnamese coffee in the city. Plus, they’ve got delicious vegan drinks and an easy order-ahead setup if you’re in a pinch.
Special shoutout to Anchorhead Coffee, who gets our business regularly. They’re fast, friendly, and always handle large group orders like pros (which is a MUST HAVE on busy event days).
Must Visit:
If it’s your first time in Seattle, you can’t miss the Space Needle or Pike Place Market. They’re classics for a reason.
But if you’ve been before and have a little more time? We highly recommend checking out Pacific Science Center and booking a ticket for Science After Dark: an evening event that’s part museum, part interactive experience, all adult-style fun.
London, England
London continues to surprise and delight us; every visit brings something new. This city does classic and cutting-edge equally well, and we’re always taking notes (and definitely stopping for snacks).
Must Eat:
Pick & Cheese, Covent Garden – The world’s first cheese conveyor belt restaurant. (You read that right.) Because who doesn’t love cheese combos?
The White Hart Pub – Meat pies, mashed potatoes, and gravy on the side... and the friendliest service we encountered anywhere. "They were the sweetest place—lit a candle for our table, made us feel special and welcome, and then gave us souvenir pint glasses to take home. It felt like the perfect London pub to me." —Karen Taber, DE Project Lead
Must Drink:
3'6 Bar at Fortnum & Mason – A night-time spot with speakeasy intimacy and an enviable cocktail list. Great for a client meet-up or team toast.
Brick Lane Coffee Shop – An incredible blend of strong coffee and your favorite crepe or full London breakfast. This one’s a go-to for a slow morning or a quick caffeine fix.
Must Visit:
The British Museum is worth a full day. Seriously. Go for the exhibits, stay for the experience. And if you can, grab the ticket that includes lunch or tea in the museum restaurant—it’s beautiful and gives you a much-needed mid-tour break.
Have a little more time to get out of the city? We highly recommend a guided tour with Evan Evans Tours that takes you to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Bath. It’s a packed day, but so worth it.
It’s Not Just About Where We Go. It’s How We Show Up.
At Dynamic Events, we’re on the road a lot. These cities have become more than destinations; they’ve become part of our story. And while our days are often packed with rehearsals, run-throughs, and real-time pivots, we try to build in a little time to look around, try something new, and enjoy where we are.
At the end of the day, it’s not just about creating great events. It’s also about making the most of every stop along the way: connecting with our team, supporting local businesses, and finding joy in the in-between moments.
From cozy coffee shops to literal cheese conveyor belts, these are the places that keep us fueled, inspired, and ready for whatever’s next.
