Roadshow Warriors
Last year, we predicted that micro-events and localization (roadshows and regional tours) were on the rise. And at DE, we got to spend 2025 filling our travel cup while supporting nine different tours across the globe.
Here's a look at what we experienced, and what we learned along the way!
9 roadshows. 22 countries. 43 unique cities.
What It Looked Like for Us
Each roadshow or tour came with its own mix of cities, purpose, and audiences. These were typically one‑ to two‑day events designed with a local lens that was built to meet communities where they are and deliver experiences that felt relevant, accessible, and connected. Across the different tours, you could find the DE team stepping in to support:
Content & Speaker Management
We oversaw the constant evolution of agendas, content, and speaker needs, serving as a steady, familiar partner for our clients and their local teams. From last‑minute updates to onsite coordination, our team ensured every stop delivered a seamless, high‑quality program.
Attendee Hub Spaces
We built intentional spaces where attendees could meet local experts, explore hands‑on activations, and engage with best‑in‑class technologies. These hubs became the heartbeat of each event; places to learn, connect, and experience innovation in a way that felt personal to each community.
Sponsorship & Booth Logistics
Our team managed the full setup of booths, demo stations, and product displays across the show floors, creating environments where attendees could explore new products, connect with partners and peers, and engage in conversations that helped shape and strengthen business strategies, all grounded in the needs and opportunities of their local market.
What We Learned
Rinse and repeat isn't everything: Although our presence and feel at each of the events attempted to be the same across each show, every city has its own unique set of rules, cultural context, and need for localization that shaped how each event ran.
It takes a village: These roadshows didn’t come to life because of one person — they were the result of blended teams working in lockstep across every stop. Event organizers, partners, and dedicated crew all brought their expertise, creativity, and grit to the table, making each experience possible through true collaboration across the globe.
It doesn't happen overnight: There are months of planning that go into making these smaller events happen that we know bring huge impact to the local communities that might not be able to travel to larger flagship events across the globe.
This work makes our team stronger: The value in immersing our team in events at scale across the globe not only made us more well-rounded event professionals but most importantly, more well-rounded humans. Travel gives us the opportunity to experience new cultures, cities, and perspectives that expand our world views in ways we never expect but forever cherish.
Here's to the Road
We came into 2025 knowing roadshows were having a moment. What we didn't anticipate was just how much our team would take away from being in the thick of it; 43 cities, 22 countries, and countless moments that reminded us why we do this work. These communities, these events, and this team.
We're proud of everything we took on this year, and we can't wait to see where the road takes us next.
